After 2 Years

Anya and Arush were such a cute couple. They had been together since 3 and a half years. Everything was perfect for them. They had a cute love story, their parents support and whatever they wished for. But life isn't always a happy ride. With both moving out of the city when their college started, they started to fall apart. Misunderstandings, fights, everyday cursing each other and insecurities were creeping in. It all continued for 6 months, but they couldn't hold on more and Arush decided to end the beautiful bond they had. It was hard for them but maybe that was what written in their destiny. 

After 2 years, both were back in town during vacations. Anya was roaming in the market with her sister while Arush was hanging out with this friends. It had been a long time now, they did miss each other but they knew they couldn't be back together. They hadn't seen or spoken each with other since 2 years. Blocked on whatsapp, viber but not from each other's hearts. While both were enjoying their evening, they didn't even notice that they were somewhat near. Suddenly it started to rain, everybody started running here and there for shelter. Anya's sister was inside some shop, Anya didn't bother to go outside, she was standing right there and enjoying those little droplets of life. Just when she saw a familiar figure right at the other side of the road, it was Arush. For a fraction of second both of them thought that they had each other back again, maybe it was the effect of rain on them. Thousands of memories were flashing at the back of their minds. They stood there, right there in the falling rain, looking at each other thinking what went wrong because what they had was so beautiful. Inside, both of them wanted to run to each other and hug each other. All the past memories, their dates, kisses, holding hands was flashing right through their minds but they were afraid, afraid of stepping forward. 

Just then Arush took a step forward and so did Anya. They couldn't control their emotions and love anymore. Both were still deeply into each other. Just then a speeding car ran over Anya. Arush screamed,cried out loud. He took her in his arms. It was just 2 minutes ago, he saw her, he was walking towards her and now destiny twisted it all. She was laying in his arms, he was shouting for help, blood was seen all over her, she was smiling and mumbled *I LOVE YOU ARUSH*, he hugged her tight and said *I LOVE YOU TOO ANYA, I'm gonna take up to the hospital and you are gonna be fine, we are meant to be, you will be fine.*
And Anya smiled and just said *We were meant to be Arush*. Saying this she stopped breathing, he hugged her tight and cried.
That day the rain gave him everything and took away all he had, and this time, forever.
